Climate

With year round sunshine, sweltering temperatures and cloudless skies, the climate of Marsa Alam is classified as hot desert or arid. Temperatures are reasonably consistent all year round, but reach a peak in the summer months of July and August with highs of around 33°C. Marsa Alam is at its coolest in the winter months of December and January, when temperatures are around ten degrees Celsius lower than the summer peak.

While precipitation is low throughout the year, the majority of Marsa Alam’s rainfall occurs in October, November and December when around 1mm can be expected over the course of each month.
